Originally from Charleston, WV, I grew up in Appalachia. I come from big families on both my mother and father’s side. I had tons of cousins, Aunts and Uncles, and was very close to both of my grandmothers. I believe I was the 1st grandchild to move away.
Moving from WV to South Florida with my husband and 1-year-old son was culture shock, to say the least! From WV to Florida (and we covered the entire state), to Colorado, to Georgia, and finally back to Ponte Vedra Beach, there were eight moves in 16 years. Such is the life of being married to a Construction Engineer. I was a stay-at-home for those 16 years, and we followed my husbands career.
